Our Mission:

Our mission is to provide volunteering opportunities in Nepal that make it possible for both hosts and visitors to learn. Volunteers gain a sense of satisfaction from contributing to Nepalese communities, but they also learn language and gain insights into culture, ecology, history and geography. Host families and communities benefit from enthusiastic helpers, teachers, and organizers, but they also learn about diverse cultures and perspectives that help them see beyond stereotypes.

Volunteers are welcome to design their own program in various area. You are most welcome to work in any field and we will support you to arrange the all necessary things.

About us

Future Nepal Friendship Organization (FNFO Nepal), Nepal is a non-profit, non-governmental organization registered at Government: 241 and Social Welfare Council: 30840 providing rich volunteer and learning experiences in Nepal. So far, we’ve served the interests of more than one hundred volunteers from various countries. Our organization builds on the belief that mutual understanding is at the heart of improved relations across communities, cultures, nations, and religions. Through our own experiences both in community organizing in Nepal and with visitors from around the world, we’ve learned that personal encounters and conversations among people working together create some of the best opportunities for mutual understanding.

This has been an incredible experience getting to know the Nepalese culture and this wonderful country has made us feel really lucky. We felt welcome at all times and we really appreciate what your family has done for us. You made us feel special, as if we were at home. When we come back from the Orphanage we realize how much we missed you! You are our Nepalese family and we will never forget these amazing movements that we shared. Hope you can come to Spain someday. We will miss you!

Now, I don't believe i've been in Nepal for 3 months. How time goes so rapidely that I don't feel ready to leave now since I've adjusted to the lifestyle and environment around me. I would just like say a huge thanks to Durga, Bishnu and Pramila for accepting me as a volunteer to their organization. It's a shame I didn't know about your organization earlier, otherwise I would have liked to participate in many more projects you have an offer for good cause. I have enjoyed participating Sankhu Palibari farm and painting at 'Nil Ganga' School. Many thanks, All my love, Ann

Ann Wong (volunteer)

Ann left her job as an administration assistant at a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing company to take on a new challenge by volunteering and traveling alone for the first time to Nepal for 3 months. She decided to volunteer in Nepal to experience cultural immersion and dedicate her time and skills to places where they were most at need. Ann has an interest within Art and Design and admires Andy Warhol’s works. Whenever required, she volunteers for a Arts organization in providing general administration support and invigilating art works shown at exhibitions. Her wishes are to pursue a career within the Arts & Design sector. In her free time, she enjoys playing the violin and is currently on Grade Five. To keep her body fit, she enjoys to run and get involved in organised running events in aid of charity. She also attends Martial Arts Classes in which she participated in the Dragon Dance for the Chinese New Year 2009 celebrations.

It is hard to believe how fast 5 weeks just flies by. I wish I had more time to really make a difference in this needy country. But it was a new and meaningful experience regardless. Nepal is a small country with so much packed in it. There are friendly people to be met, beautiful natural sceneries to meditate on, and a diverse culture to be explored. There are so much to do in so little time, and Future Nepal definitely made everything a lot easier for me, I enjoyed meeting people who share the same aspiration and look forward to another journey back!
